Aaliyah’s Song Really Was “One In A Million” – Try AGAIN DREAM!

and apparently The Dream tried to make it two in a million but failed BIG TIME. Yesterday He released a remake of the song “One In a Million” from the late and great Aaliyah but receieved a great deal of back lash for doing so.
Yeaaa…. I think I might have to agree with the Aaliyah fans on this one. Some things should remain untouched. *SideEye*…..especially if that person isn’t here to co-sign. Whewww….THIS REMAKE WAS A MESS. #NEVERHEARDOFIT

It’s like what JayZ said when he turned down the opportunity to participate in the We are the World Remake earlier this year.
“I don’t ever wanna see it touched. I’m a fan of music. Some things are just untouchable. It was a valiant effort, but for me, [the original] is gonna be untouchable.”

The Dream’s version of One in A Million was supposed to be apart of his mix tape Love Sessions with DJ Drama and DJ Sense but he might be rethinking this because the fans are LIVID. Check out what The Dream tweeted last night in his defense.

Toni Braxton Explains Album Set Backs….

R&B Singer Toni Braxton has been working non stop on her upcoming album “Pulse”. The release of the much anticipated album has been delayed several times since September 2008. Toni clears a bunch of fan confusions in a recent interview. Read what she had to say about the record and the possibility of an Alicia Keys collaboration below:

How long have you been working on the album?
“It’s like a bottomless cup of coffee! I signed my deal with Atlantic Records when I did Dancing With The Stars in September 2008 and I’ve been working on it since then. I must have recorded more than 30 tracks for it by now!”

Have you decided on the final tracklisting?
“We’re doing that as we speak – I think we have about seven songs confirmed, but we haven’t got the ten yet. The album was supposed to come out in February, but we held it back because seven of the ten songs we picked were leaked. We decided to go back to the studio, record four or five more songs and then pick. Now we send everything via Federal Express – nothing’s going through the internet – and that’s why none of the new songs have leaked so far.”

What’s the balance between ballads and club cuts like?
“It can be challenging getting that balance right, but I think we did a really good job on [my 1996 album] Secrets. Everyone forgets that ‘You’re Makin’ Me High’ was on the same album as ‘Un-Break My Heart’. You have to make sure it sequences well, because you don’t want to have a dance song and then all of a sudden a big, classic ballad.”

The first UK single is a track called ‘Yesterday’. What’s the story behind it?
“Well, I heard the song and it was written from a guy’s perspective, so I said, ‘Nice song – let me rework it’. I changed it up and made it a girl’s song. I’m going through a separation, and it’s not my story per se, but I definitely can relate to it in the sense of starting over. I wanted to have strength when I sang it – I didn’t want to be a wimp!”

It feels like time for you to record a big female-female duet. Is there anything being lined up?
“Me and Alicia Keys are talking about it – well, my people are talking to Alicia’s people because I play piano and obviously she plays too. I’ve been playing since I was about nine years old so I really can play. Maybe we could do something at an award show and people will see us collaborate that way? We’ll see.”

How about our own diva, Leona Lewis?
“I love her! I prefer her first album to the new one though. Actually, the possibility of she and I touring together was mentioned when I was in New York a couple of months ago for the VH1 Divas show. Her people were talking to my people and said maybe we should put on a tour together, so who knows? I’m just excited to have these options and possibilities open to me

Do you remember the cute lil’ boy who sang “I like it” years ago???… Well that little boy Sammie has transformed into ALL MAN…::CONFUSEDLOOK::… (He still seems like jail bate in my eyes) but I guess he is trying to introduce his sexy in his first video “Magic Show” off his EP entitled It’s Time, which dropped last month.

His PR rep said….
The VERY SEXY video shows the R&B crooner’s transition from child star with “I Like It” to young adult with “Magic Show” who knows what he wants – the ladies. In a light never seen before by the public, fans and those who weren’t until now will be interested in what Sammie has up his sleeves when the video releases later this week.

I’m not mad at you Sammie.. People might start making babies from your music now… *SideEye*

NAS Release Built Up Anger On His Ex-Wife, Kelis…

Rapper Nas and his ex-wife, Kelis, Went through a very public divorce last year. There were rumors of cheating but for the most part the details were kept private. Until now… *SideEye*

Nas addresses Kelis in a newly-added verse from “Strong Will Continue,” his collaboration with Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley from their joint album Distant Relatives.

Speaking of his 6-month old son that he and Kelis share Nas makes reference to a 1993 incident where martial arts film star Bruce Lee’s son Brandon was killed on set of The Crow::
“Twisted and mangled, sort of like Bruce Lee life/ Cursed with his son Brandon/ If that’s you and me Knight/ I pray our fate’s greater.”

He also refers to his reported court-ordered spousal and child support payments of $52,000 per month::
“How in the hell am I supposed to stay comfy/ When I pay child support, alimony monthly,” (#saywhatnow…$52K??? a month NEVERHEARDOFIT…thats ridiculous I don’t care how rich one is)

And as for rumors that he cheated on his wife, Nas has something to say on that topic as well::
“So I’ve stuck with some married women so fine, cheating while their husband rushing on the 40-yard line/ Wonder if this is what my ex did the whole time.”(Yea, You’re probably right NAS, I wouldn’t be suprised if she had a few side boo’s ….I bet they won’t make her pay you 52K if so…::CONFUSEDLOOK::)

The charity anthem We Are the World has been re-made 25 years on from the original to raise money for Haiti.

Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie have recruited a host of star names for the project, with singers Celine Dion and Wyclef Jean, who is from Haiti.

The original We Are the World raised more than $30m for food relief in Africa when it was released in 1985.

The 2010 version, officially titled We Are the World – 25 for Haiti, was shown on US television coverage of the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics.

Its amazing how artists from every genre of music came together for this effort….IT GAVE ME CHILLS -#nolie…

Toni Braxton Gets With Usher……

According to Rap-up.com, Toni Braxton, the star of the upcoming reality show “Braxton Family Values” is planning a collaboration with Usher for her Atlantic Records debut Pulse. “I think me and Usher are gonna do something together,” she exclusively tells Rap-Up.com. “Usher’s great. He’s like my brother in the business. Love, love, love him! We’re both represented by AEG [Live CEO] Randy Phillips, so Randy’s gonna definitely make it happen.”

Now she’s just waiting for Usher to jump on the record. “I did my part. I called him the Friday before the Super Bowl and said, ‘You have to hear it, Usher.’ He said, ‘I can’t hear it over the phone. After the Super Bowl I’ll hear it.’ We just haven’t connected since Sunday.”

Braxton’s sixth studio album has been pushed back from its original February date because seven out of 10 tracks leaked prior to release. She is adding new material before the rescheduled May 4 date. “It’s top secret now. They won’t even send any of the songs over the Internet. Everything has to be FedExed.”

Pulse boasts production from Lucas Secon (Britney Spears), Harvey Mason Jr. & Oak (Chris Brown), and Troy Taylor (Whitney Houston), as well as collaborations with Robin Thicke and Trey Songz (“Yesterday”).

My homie sent me this new single from T-pain and my face turned all the way upside down. Perhaps there is a prelude to this song that I missed where he explains that he is singing from inside the head of a female’s because I had to rewind when he said “I guess I’ll see him in the morning Cause he’ll come back, he always does,” #SAYWHATNOW…. Someone please explain because I am ::SOCONFUSED::

I am not saying that Tpain is #GAY. I am just saying I need for people to be clear because the fans should never have to think twice. ITS JUST HOW I FEEL….
