May 2, 2011 was The Costume Institute Gala Benefit celebrating the opening of the “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” exhibition, featuring the late designer’s iconic work. Cassie Ventura, model/singer and socialite accompanied David Neville and Marcus Wainwright (named Menswear Designers of the Year by the CFDA), to the event wearing a custom rag & bone dress made of cobalt blue washed calf skin, stingray and quilted waxed leather. Cassie gave “life” on the red carpet, bold, beautiful in this effortlessly chic ensemble. Well done Cassie and Rag & Bone for this stunning ensemble! We salute you!

Last Night (Saturday Feb. 27) Nicki Minaj co-hosted BET’s RIP THE RUNWAY with actor Pooch Hall. She also performed “My Chick Bad” with Ludacris at the show held in New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom.

Other appearances and performances included Estelle (“Freak”), B.o.B aka Bobby Ray with Bruno Mars (“Nothin’ on You”), Trina (“Million Dollar Girl”), Janelle Monáe (“Tightrope”), and Roscoe Dash featuring Soulja Boy Tell’em (“All the Way Turnt Up”) provided the soundtrack to the haute affair, which airs March 15 on BET.

Why am I NOT suprised that BET chose Nicki Minaj to Host the Show *SideEye*

Diddy seems to be getting pretty good at these Love Stories.
This time he spices up fashion screen for February’s US Vogue with Russian Supermodel Natalia Vodnianova. Acclaimed photographer Annie Leibovitz captures these pictures telling the tale of Hollywood love story centered around a brief encounter aboard a speeding train. This is the epitomy of high fashion, romance, and everything else fabulous. Diddy has always has had that fashion mecca alter ego, so I am not surprised. This shoot is fabulous.

Tuesday night in Atlanta, Jermaine Dupri launched his new watch line. The party was a huge success and star studded, of course. Everyone came out including Monica, Eva Marcille, Lance Gross, Teyana Taylor, Johnta Austin, and Nitti. If you have a love for watches and fashion, you will love these.

The watch line was a callaboration of jewler Pascal Mouawad amd Jermaine Dupri who stated that his inspiration for the line came from growing up “loving fasion watches and admiring Andy Warhol.”

Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year Awards were held at NYC’s Carnegie Hall Monday night. Rihanna along side other incredible women such as Miya Angelou, Maria Shriver, Laura Ling received awards for representing women in 2009 with great class and virtuosity. Rihanna accepted the “Back-On-Top Superstar” award from supermodel Iman and speaks on how she is hoping her recent domestic violence issues are lessons learned to the millions of young women around the world that are struggling with the same issues and inturn saving lives…BIG THUMBS UP TO RIHANNA. What a way to turn a negative into a huge positive.

BUT OHH THAT DRESS!!!!. Fabulous! As Rihanna slowly walked to the stage she says, “As usual I decided to wear the tightest dress I could find” and SHE WORE IT WELL. The dress ivory satin Mermaid gown designed by Stephane Rolland. It is definitely something different from her usual (but still HOT) Rock-n-Roll punk look. She said she wanted something different to capture the night and represent the momentous year that changed her life. NeverHeardof Rihanna Having one look…I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!
