Fashion Police:: Shanelle from Young Money ::WTF!!!!::

I can see where the Author of this blog is coming from in regards to possibly misunderstanding the inspiration behind Shanelle’s look. In Shanelle’s defense, however—she’s an Artist. We are best-known for Doing Us. Whether or not I’D rock her choice of attire that night, I think it’s important to approach this forum with support for Sistahs Tryin To Do The Dern Thang! Although I haven’t read much about her personally or professionally; I’m impressed at her drive and ambition to make good of her talents. She could certainly ‘do worse’ than being nodded at by one of the most influential rappers ever known. I’m sure as she advances, so shall the arrival of a Stylist (which Lord knows we could probably ALL stand to have) who may better incorporate her personal flair with the fashion standards (with thankfully are not bound to any one ‘look’). All in all….I decline to post anything unflattering about ANY potential artist I may find occasion to collaborate with. I’m proud of her for everything GOOD she’s trying to do with and for herself—and can therefore pardon an outfit or two I may not have worn myself. As a kid, I got teased for just about everything I wore to school (except my gym uniform, lol)—-and it was that ridicule and ostracism that helped to hone the fiercely, undeniable, unique craft of music I so pride myself in.
